The winger for Manchester United, Antony, has talked candidly about his bond with Diogo Dalot.

The 24-year-old failed to adjust to the Premier League after moving from Ajax to United in an £86 million deal back in 2022.

Diogo Dalot, according to Antony, has been a helpful friend.

This has been a challenging season for Antony at Old Trafford.

During his first season at Old Trafford, he made 44 appearances in all competitions and scored eight goals.

To make matters worse, the winger has only scored twice this season.

Antony has faced criticism from pundits and supporters; some have even labeled him as the worst Premier League acquisition ever.

He recently claimed that his friendship with Dalot helped him get through difficult times.

“I’m very grateful to God and to a friend I talk to a lot,” Antony stated in a statement on Man Utd’s official website.

“Diogo Dalot helps me every day at the club; he’s more than just a friend of mine.” One thing we say to one other all the time is, “The patient guy is unbeatable.”

“We discuss it constantly. I’m really appreciative of him for his counsel and the conversations we had. He’s a guy who has greatly aided me.

Earlier this month, during United’s FA Cup match against Liverpool, Antony scored a vital equalizer.

After extra time, the Red Devils prevailed 4-3 to advance to the semifinals.

Antony said, “I told Diogo that I felt something different before the game,” in reference to the Old Trafford contest.

“I had a pleasant feeling. I’m thrilled that I scored tonight since I felt like I was going to.

“As I mentioned before, Dalot is my best friend at the club.

“He’s a guy we talk to a lot, and he gives me advice all the time. His mindset is unusual.”
