2 Chainz revealed that he bought himself a lawn mower to celebrate turning 46

Recently, 2 Chainz celebrated his birthday and got himself a gift that Jimmy Fallon described as “unbelievable.”

Alongside Lil Wayne, the rapper made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday to promote their latest single, “Presha,” and their upcoming joint album, Welcome 2 Collegrove, the much anticipated sequel to their 2016 partnership.  Fallon inquired about 2 Chainz’s birthday celebration last month. The rapper, who turned 46 on September 12, said, “I bought a lawn mower and a strip club.”

The “It’s a Vibe” singer revealed that he had always lived in apartments as a child and that he had just purchased a house after becoming a rapper and “having money” in response to the host’s question about what motivated him to buy the machine. He claimed that because the house has “a rather large yard,” he has “always” hired helpers to take care of the grounds. Like most wealthy individuals, I thus pay someone to take care of everything for me. After that, I awoke and exclaimed, “You know what? I have never previously mowed the lawn. And I thought that perhaps I had not yet evolved into a man.

“And so I woke up and I got me a John Deere,” he went on.

Fallon and Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) burst out laughing at the narrative. The 42-year-old rapper known for “Uneasy” was left stunned as Fallon called it a “great story.”

In addition, 2 Chainz made sure to mention that the strip club he purchased is operational. “It’s in Atlanta and is called Candyland.” “Make sure you check us out,” he stated, emphasizing that it was obviously intended for adults.

The two rappers discussed Welcome 2 ColleGrove with Fallon during their appearance on the show. They disclosed that the title of the LP is a tribute to their respective upbringings. Get the best of PEOPLE, from captivating human interest stories to juicy celebrity news, by subscribing to their free daily newsletter. “We fused the names, and it’s ColleGrove, so it feels like we made our own world, our own area,” 2 Chainz added in reference to the album, which will be released on November 17. The two also made jokes about how they first got together, with Wayne stating that, while he was recording in Atlanta in the early part of 2007, 2 Chainz became his go-to source for marijuana. 2 Chainz responded, “Wayne wanted cannabis,” when Fallon pressed for further information regarding the rappers’ initial friendship. He said to the host, “You forced me to go there.”

Fallon answered, “I didn’t know you were going to go there.”

“Every time I would go to Atlanta and I wanted to speak about that one thing, I would always call this guy to talk about that,” Wayne recalled of his pal. Wayne went on, “One day, we went in the studio,” and 2 Chainz eventually played him some of his own songs. From there, he said, “the rest is history.” Since then, the two have remained close friends, and in 2018, Wayne was even 2 Chainz’s best man during his marriage to Kesha Ward.
