This summer, a few couples have called it quits, but Jada Pinkett Smith’s mother has officially announced her relationship!

Adrienne Banfield-Jones and her partner sealed the marriage this week, with the assistance of their daughter Jada and her husband Will Smith. The couple is stunning. Jones looked stunning in a white Berta gown with exquisite beadwork and lace accents. Her now-husband had on a red-tied beige suit. Jada wore white to the event as well, but her gown had a more understated and straightforward style. Will chose a suit in heather grey to go well with his wife.

Being by her mother on her special day makes sense because Jada views her mother as one of her closest confidantes. Adrienne and Jada talked candidly about their sincere bond during an interview with Redbook.

However, I don’t think that as her mother, I have the authority to meddle. I acknowledge that our upbringings were distinct,” Adrienne clarified. Her viewpoint is old-school/new-school, which frequently diverges from mine. She makes great decisions for her family and herself, therefore I’ve learned to trust her judgement.”But after Jada got married and she and Will started having kids, her mother felt a little cut out of their hectic lives. “I said I felt like there was something between us that she didn’t even realise. I was drawing parallels between our connection and my sister’s relationship with her kids. However, the grandchildren and kids of my sister live in the same city. And I’m still a Baltimore resident,” she said.

“So there’s a distance, and Jada has so much on her plate, but I really did feel kind of left out.”

They’re closer than ever right now, but time will tell if Jada begins to feel excluded from her mother’s evolving life.
