On Thursday, Manchester United attended training at Carrington, one day before their Premier League match against West Ham United over the weekend.

Christian Eriksen was once more a member of the principal group, and he is attempting to make a comeback. The Denmark international, who has been incapacitated since sustaining a knee ιnjury last month during a 1-0 victory over Luton Town, told us he is eager to return to action.

Amad, who has been sidelined since sustaining an ιnjury during the United States tour and has not played since, and captain Bruno Fernandes, who returned from a one-match suspension in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Liverpool, both participated.

Unsurprisingly, Erik ten Hag is confronted with another player absent for disciplinary reasons, as Diogo Dalot is rendered ineligible to travel to the London Stadium after his dismissal in the dying moments of last weekend’s deadlock.

Marcus Rashford started on Merseyside from the bench and will presumably have recovered from the illness issues he has been experiencing since the previous UEFA Champions League match against Bayern Munich and the absence of fellow forward Anthony Martial at Anfield.

Jonny Evans replaced the injured center-back Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo was substituted for Fernandes in the two-game alteration against Liverpool. Willy Kambwala, an additional defender, returned to the sideline for the first time.

Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof, and Lisandro Martinez are among the others who have been sidelined.

WEST HAM’S TEAM NEWS

David Moyes’s me𝚗 were hammered 5-1 by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night but some of their star me𝚗, including Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse, and Emerson, were rested from the outset.

Ward-Prowse (72 minutes) and Paqueta (57 minutes) did come on in the second half, with in-form Jarrod Bowen scoring the east Londoners’ goal. 

“We could use the word ‘rotate’ and we’ve not rotated that often, although we did in the early games in Europe, and, in some of them the performances weren’t that good,” admitted Moyes. “We wаnted to have a go at the Carabao Cup, we did, but it does get worrying with the schedule we have. I’m a little worried now for the weekend because a couple of the players played longer than they should have done.”

Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, and Aaron Cresswell were ill, although the latter made the bench.

Alphonse Areоla returned in goal, ahead of Lukasz Fabianski, while striker Michail Antonio appears to be a major doubt for Saturday.
