The 2030 World Championship will be the 100th anniversary. FIFA will hold the event in 6 nations on 3 continents to commemorate this milestone. The co-hosts are Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will host the 2030 World Cup’s first three matches. Because Uruguay hosted the inaugural global championship in 1930.

On July 31, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco must decide the 2030 World Cup stadium numbers and names, per FIFA. FIFA will then gather to choose the best locations.

FIFA officials and representatives of the three 2030 World Cup hosts met multiple times last week to decide the final match location.

FIFA decided to hold the final at Santiago Bernabeu after these discussions.



Morocco opposes the 2030 World Cup final in Spain due to an investigation into former Football Federation head Luis Rubiales, Marca reports. Real Madrid and FIFA have a good relationship, therefore it’s hard to change FIFA’s opinion.

Due to the number of spectators, geographical distance, security, and other reasons, organising a final in Europe is always better than elsewhere. A decision on the 2030 World Cup venue, the Bernabeu, is imminent.
