After Carlo Ancelotti indicated that Real Madrid would not play in the FIFA Club World Cup, the club clarified otherwise.
On June 10, Carlo Ancelotti turns 65. Before that, Real Madrid gave him La Liga and Champions League crowns.
“I told my children (including the players): I’m not old, I haven’t felt anything in these years,” coach Ancelotti told Il Giornale, expressing his dedication to world football.
Ancelotti says he does not age in his career: “I live my love, matches, tournaments, and work.
After my time at Everton, I left the spotlight and was called elderly, just like at Napoli.”
The 5-Champions League-winning coach told Il Giornale that Real Madrid will not play in the FIFA Club World Cup.
He explained that Real Madrid’s valuation transcended the league. FIFA uses European champions and other prominent clubs to gain money.
FIFA can ignore that. Ancelotti said the club and players won’t partake in that competition.
“A Real Madrid match is worth 20 million euros, and FIFA wants to split it among the tournament. Some clubs deny invitations like us.”
The Champions League champions, Real Madrid, automatically qualify for the new FIFA Club World Cup. Season 1 begins in 2025 in the US.
Despite increased prize mоney, the FIFA Club Wоrld Cup has been criticised fоr fоrcing players tо play mоre, risking оverlоad and injury.
After coach Ancelotti’s comments, Real Madrid ‘turned around’ and announced that the club will consistently compete in this event for the title. Fans get FIFA Club World Cup again.
