David Beckham, president and co-owner of Inter Miami Club, called Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid a’very unique moment’ for the player, the team, and La Liga.
“I’m thrilled Mbappe joined Real Madrid. He is a unique player and person. Mbappe and Real Madrid make me happy. David Beckham declared at an event in Barcelona City (Spain) on June 5 that Mbappe joined a wonderful club.
“This is also a very special moment, not only for Real Madrid, but also for all Spanish football… to see an excellent player like Mbappe come to La Liga,” Beckham said.
From 2003 to 2007, David Beckham played for Real Madrid in Spain. He was one of the early Bernabeu “galaxy” players. This former footballer left Real Madrid in June 2007 to play for LA Galaxy and later became co-owner and president of Inter Miami Club. David Beckham briefly played for PSG in 2013 and retired.
In celebration of Real Madrid’s 15th Champions League title, David Beckham uploaded a photo in the style of junior star Jude Bellingham. A popular move.
Real Madrid had announced that Mbappe would sign a 5-year contract worth over 15 million USD/year. His loyalty incentive of up to 163 million USD will be paid over his term at the Bernabeu. After his PSG contract expires on July 1, Mbappe will join Real Madrid.
“PSG wants to ban me from playing”
Mbappe criticised PSG Club after announcing his move to Real Madrid, where the French team prepared for EURO 2024 and played a friendly match with Luxembourg at 2:00 a.m. on June 6.
They told me directly and angry. Starting in 2023–2024, you cannot play. Coach Luis Enrique and sports director Luis Campos saved me. I couldn’t return to the pitch without them. This is why I’m always grateful to the coach and sporting director “Mbappe said.
Mbappe says: “Am free. I came to Real Madrid since everyone heard the announcement. This is pure delight, a dream realised. At PSG, I Pressure makes it unpleasant. Thus, I feel relaxed thereafter. With some stability, I intend to continue enjoying football Kick and competing at my best next season.”
PSG responded immediately to Mbappe’s scathing statement: “That player lacks class. PSG and president Nasser Al Khelaifi have never taken a team-wide decision. Although Coach Luis Enrique said that, Mbappe still made utterances that made everyone believe it.”
The Mbappe-PSG romance continues. L’Équipe (France) reports that Paris is withholding this player’s income and bonus for the last three months of the season and until the contract expires to claim benefits in the Real Madrid transfer. This issue has yet to be resolved, and the parties will likely go to court to arbitrate.
