After leaving the Bernabéu at about 5:45 p.m. local time, the Madrid squad visited the cathedral and then the regional government headquarters in Puerta del Sol, in the city center, as well as the town hall that is close by.

At around 10:40 p.m. local time, the squad re-entered the Bernabéu, which was already thronged with fans, after joining a multitude of thousands at Cibeles, the fountain where Madrid players and supporters commemorate trophy victories.

Carvajal, who was awarded player of the match at Wembley, and veteran midfielder Toni Kroos, who played his last game for the club before retiring this summer, were among the players presented one by one before addressing the audience at Wembley.

After winning LaLiga, the Champions League, and the Spanish Supercopa, Madrid completed an almost flawless season with their last victory. Their lone loss this season came in a league match and a Copa del Rey match, both against Atlético Madrid, their bitter rivals.

Vinícius led Madrid in goals scored in the Champions League with six, but Joselu and Rodrygo Goes, two attackers who scored twice in the semifinal against Bayern Munich to secure Madrid’s spot at Wembley, were in close pursuit, both with five goals.

Vinicius expressed his happiness at being back. It’s crucial that I be here among you, the fans. Through Kroos, Nacho [Fernandez], Dani [Carvajal], and Luka [Modric], we have gained a wealth of knowledge. The younger generation here is far more focused on winning.

Modric seemed to solidify his return to Madrid for the 2024–25 season, even though his contract expired at the conclusion of the previous campaign.

All year long, I appreciate your support. “Until next season!” Modric informed the Bernabéu audience.

In the continental competition, midfielder Jude Bellingham, who referred to the final as “the best night of my life,” set up five goals, one of which was for Vinícius at Wembley.
