Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United, may depart Old Trafford this summer as Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr intensifies their pursuit of a possible trade for the seasoned Brazilian.

CaughtOffside has learned from sources with firsthand knowledge of the circumstances that Al Nassr has already had discussions with Casemiro’s representation. Casemiro is willing to leave Manchester United for the appropriate price.

Al Nassr is predicted to be prepared to offer Casemiro a three-year contract and to try to offer the Red Devils a proposal of about €40 million.

Although Casemiro has not yet made a decision regarding his future, there is a growing sense that, given the right circumstances, he and United may part ways this summer. Given the former Real Madrid player’s dismal recent performances, many supporters will undoubtedly be relieved to hear this news.

Casemiro’s performance in MUFC’s humiliating 4-0 away loss to Crystal Palace earlier this week was so bad that Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher called for the player to give up on his elite career and relocate to the MLS or Saudi Arabia.

Casemiro’s decision is still pending, but it would be prudent for the 32-year-old to really examine if he still possesses the necessary skills to compete at this level.

Many elite athletes have relocated to Saudi Arabia in recent years, and if Casemiro joins Al Nassr—who also have Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, and Aymeric Laporte on their roster—he may cross paths with Cristiano Ronaldo, his former Real Madrid teammate.

United undoubtedly needs to make changes in the midfield, and they would be well to bank as much as €40 million from the sale of Casemiro, since that sum might enable them find a capable successor.
