The English winger is presently on loan from Manchester United to Dortmund.
Reports state that Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane have both advised Real Madrid to recruit Jadon Sancho of Manchester United.
Sancho almost signed with Real Madrid in 2017 at Zidane’s urging, but in the end he chose to move to Borussia Dortmund, where he became a star player before joining Manchester United in 2021.
But he was unable to replicate his Dortmund form at United, and as his play continued to deteriorate and his relationship with his current boss broke down, he was loaned back to the German team. As a result, he was reduced to a supporting role.
However, Zinedine Zidane supposedly made Jadon Sancho a priority goal before he signed with Manchester United once more in an effort to cut out the subpar players from his former Real Madrid squad in the summer and bring in some fresh talent for 2019.
Zidane was willing to accept Dortmund’s asking price for Sancho, who is said to be around 80 million euros, according to the German newspaper Bild. However, the Bundesliga team probably thought he was worth closer to $100 million, and there were several other teams who were also keeping an eye on the situation.
In order to assemble a team for the future, Real Madrid shifted their strategy during the transfer window, bringing in more youthful players rather than seasoned veterans. Madrid has reaped significant benefits with the signings of Vincius, Rodrygo, and Bellingham.
Sancho is not just young enough, but he has shown himself on the biggest stages. In his first season at Dortmund, his playing abilities were likened to those of major players. He was also a part of an elite group of players that included Leo Messi and Eden Hazard.
Dortmund “will make every effort” to keep hold of Jadon Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund “will try everything,” according to sports director Sebastian Kehl, to keep Jadon Sancho, a Manchester United loanee, through the conclusion of the season.
Sancho, who has a deal with the Red Devils through 2026, made a six-month comeback to Dortmund in January. He made his nаme at Dortmund before making a large financial move to the Premier League in 2021.
The England international has struggled at United and has only made one appearance in three games off the bench after an early-season altercation with boss Erik ten Hag.
