NEWS: Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement with their first target of the summer, as competitors in the race to sign Nice defender Jean-Claire Todibo have withdrawn
Defensive redoubts are one of the primary areas of concentration for Manchester United in the transfer market, and details about who might be at Old Trafford in the upcoming off-season are beginning to surface.
Nice center-back Jean-Claire Todibo has piqued the interest of the Red Devils, who are currently the front-runners to sign the Frenchman after holding preliminary negotiations, according to teamTALK.
Tottenham had been keeping an eye on him earlier, but they were forced to abandon their pursuit of Todibo after Radu Dragusin was acquired during the winter transfer window.
Additionally, Manchester United abandoned the Frenchman’s candidacy due to the cost of Jarrad Bruntveit, whom the media actively arranged a match for at Old Trafford. Todibo will cost 40 million pounds, which is half as much.
