The Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Milwaukee Bucks in California on Friday evening.
While playing the game, Anthony Davis, a highly skilled forward who has been selected for the All-Star team, achieved a significant milestone in the NBA by surpassing the legendary Hall of Famer Kevin McHale’s position on the all-time scoring list. Davis now ranks 94th on this prestigious list.
After surpassing McHale, Davis will soon overtake Hall of Famer Steve Nash (17,387) as the next player in line.
Davis is currently doing very well this season, with an average of 24.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.4 blocks per game. He has a shooting percentage of 55.7% from the field and 26.0% from the three-point line, throughout a total of 60 games.
He is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional forwards in the history of basketball and has just participated in his ninth NBA All-Star Game.
The Lakers came into the evening with a 34-30 record in 64 games, placing them in a tie with the Golden State Warriors for the ninth position in the Western Conference.
Despite experiencing fluctuations during the season, the Lakers own a skilled lineup that successfully advanced to the 2023 Conference Finals. Therefore, if they manage to secure a spot in the playoffs, they will be regarded as a strong contender.
Davis is now in his twelfth season in the NBA and his fifth season playing with the Los Angeles team.
Following a tenure of seven years with the New Orleans Pelicans, he was transferred to the Lakers before to the commencement of the 2019-20 season.
After the Bucks game, the Lakers’ next match will take place on Sunday evening when they welcome Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
