Despite the fact that James has been battling a left ankle ιnjury since the week preceding the All-Star Game, that which had been anticipated, will not materialize.

James was benched against the San Antonio Spurs on December 13 of the following month, a contest in which Anthony Davis recorded a 37-point, 10-rebound double-double.
To continue from where we left off, LeBron James’ third absence of the season occurred against the San Antonio Spurs less than a week after his 12/13 absence. He was absent against the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 21, where Anthony Davis once again delivered a tremendous performance.
In addition to racking up 31 points, Anthony Davis grabbed eight rebounds and prevented three attempts. Early in January, on January 13, James was absent when the Lakers hosted the Utah Jazz. Anthony Davis achieved a triple-double on this occasion by contributing 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists.
