Sir Jim Ratcliffe has disclosed his intention to take Manchester City “off their perch” and restore the club’s glory within three years.
The new part-owner of Manchester United outlined a plan to either refurbish Old Trafford for approximately £1 billiоn or construct a new stadium on the same site in an attempt to secure public funding.
The billionaire, who acquired a 27.7% stake yesterday, stated that Old Trafford could be transferred to the wоme𝚗’s team if the me𝚗’s team constructs a new stadium.
Concerning more contentious issues, Sir Jim stated that Manchester United would deliberate on the return of Mason Greenwood by the conclusion of the current campaign.
A year after a charge of attempted rаpe was dismissed, he transferred to the Spanish club Getafe for the current campaign.
“They [City] are one of the best teams on the planet,” indicated Sir Jim.
“The noisy neighbor and our other neighbor [Liverpool] have much to teach us.” Ultimately, they represent the adversary, and there is nothing more that I would desire more than to remove one or both of them from their elevated position.
“But equally we are the three great northern clubs and we’re all quite close to each other,” he further stated.
“They have been in a favorable position for a short time. Each of the two. Both organizations provide valuable lessons that can be gleaned.
“At their disposal are intelligent organizations staffed with exceptional individuals, which foster an environment reminiscent of an elite club.” As a result, the outcomes have plummeted to the ground. Therefore, despite my profound respect for them, they remain the adversary.
“The nation state bit helps to a degree, but FFP (Financial Fair Play rules) limits the degree by a considerable margin,” according to Sir Jim.
“Therefore, the crux of the matter is the club’s performance, as that directly influences your FFP.”
“With FPP, the institution must be managed independently of its financial resources.
“FFP has emerged as a novel facet of football club management, and it is undeniably an extremely vital component of football club administration.
“Additionally, you must consider how FFP management can be achieved for the club’s benefit.”
“There are various approaches to accomplishing that,” Sir Jim continued.
“However, FFP ultimately dictates that the club must be run on its own resources.” Furthermore, it effectively considers your previous spending, which the club has incurred significantly over the past few seasons.
“Therefore, this has an effect on FFP moving forward, as they have applied a considerable portion of their allowance…
“It’s obviously related to sales as well as purchases, and so we need to get our heads around that well before the summer window, so we understand the number but there’s no question that history will impact this summer window.”
