Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis would accept an invitation to play on Team USA in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Davis, an All-Star nine times, has scored 24.9 points, grabbed 12.2 rebounds, and passed the ball 3.8 times per game this season. He was on Team USA at the 2012 Summer Olympics and helped the US win gold in London.
Davis has already said that he wants to play for Team USA in 2024. He did this most famously during an interview with Spectrum Sportsnet at the Lakers’ training media day in October (9:40 mark).”When Bron asked me last year, I told him, ‘If they ask me, I’m in,'” Davis said, “All I need now is that ask.”
People from The Athletic wrote in October that James “has such a strong desire to compete in one more Olympics that he is ready to commit for next summer and has also called several stars to basically recruit them to join him with USAB in Paris.”
Davis has not played for Team USA since the FIBA World Cup in 2014. However, he is expected to play for them again this summer as they try to win their fifth straight Olympic gold title in me𝚗’s basketball.
