The goalkeepers have been switching around all season since Thibaut Courtois tore his anterior cruciate ligament before the start of the La Liga season. The Belgium goalie can see the end of the road, though, so he might not have to make any more choices in that area.
Marca says that Courtois could be ready to play again by the end of March or the beginning of April. He is currently working on grass at Valdebebas. Real Madrid is not in a hurry and does not want him to skip any steps in his comeback. He is now in the last part of his recovery, where he is working to get stronger, faster, and more confident in his knee. Real Madrid has even told him to take it easy so they don’t get hurt.
Still, it’s not a small thing because they could have had the best goalie in the world for many years before he got hurt. He could come back for the quarterfinals of the Champions League if they beаt RB Leipzig in the Round of 16. Courtois could then play in goal on that day. On April 9th or 10th, the first leg will happen. The second leg will happen a week later, right when Courtois is meant to be back.
