On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers disclosed the ιnjury report for their contest against the Houston Rockets.
LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy) and Anthony Davis (bilateral Achilles tendinopathy) have been classified as questionable by the Lakers. Gabe Vincent (left knee surgery) and Cam Reddish (right ankle ιnjury) have been ruled out in opposition to Houston.
James and Davis both participated in the Lakers’ previous contest on Saturday, which was against the Golden State Warriors. Nonetheless, that game went into double overtime, so the Lakers’ two leaders may have sustained some additional damage.
James has performed at an exceptionally high level this season, despite turning 39 years old in December.
The four-time NBA champion shoots 52.1 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from three-point range while averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game. James has recorded his highest 3-point percentage since the 2012-13 season, when he was a member of the Miami Heat. This is an exceptionally remarkable performance.
James, whose status is uncertain, has missed a mere five of the Lakers’ forty-seven games so far this season.
With 45 contests played, Davis has been even more durable than James this season.
This season, the star big man has accumulated an average of 25.0 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.4 blocks per game. Davis is achieving 27.5 percent from three-point range and 55.5 percent from the field.
Both athletes would be ideal for Los Angeles to have in action against Houston. The Lakers will host the Rockets on Monday for the fourth time this season.
After falling in the opening meeting on November 8, the Lakers have since rebounded to claim the last two games. A victory on Monday could decide the season series in favor of the team.
The team is 24-23 and is vying for a berth into the ninth seed in the Western Conference. Against Houston, they are attempting to maintain a record above.500.
The Western Conference’s No. 11 seed Rockets have a 21-24 record and a 3-7 record in their last ten games heading into Monday’s contest.
The tip-off time for both teams is slated for 5 p.m. PST in Houston.
