As Real Madrid once again tries to sign Kylian Mbappe, the French player has said he will not make hasty decisions about whether to leave Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish giants have been chasing the 25-year-old France international for years. He almost went to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2022, but changed his mind at the last minute and decided to stay with PSG.
Mbappe signed a deal back then, but the third year isn’t required. That means he can leave the team in the summer and sign with another team. The forward can also talk to teams from other countries this month about signing a pre-contract deal.
Even though there were rumors that Mbappe would finally join Real Madrid, he told reporters that he hasn’t decided what he wants to do yet after PSG’s 2-0 win over Toulouse on Wednesday night.
For starters, he said, “No, I’m excited about this year.” It’s really important. We have titles to win, and one is already ours.
The choice I haven’t made yet. I haven’t decided yet. Because of what I agreed to with the president in the summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide because we were able to protect everyone and keep the club calm for the problems that are to come. Thus, we shall state that it is secondary.”
Even though Mbappe changed his mind at the last minute in the summer of 2022, Real Madrid is still set on signing him and is getting ready for their next try to bring him to Spain. A new story from The Athletic, on the other hand, says that Real has given Mbappe until the middle of January to decide if he will join them.
According to the story, talks between the two sides have never stopped since Mbappe decided to stay at PSG. However, some people at the Bernabeu felt cheated by the striker’s suԀԀen change of heart.
It is also known that the deal that was made with Mbappe 18 months ago is likely to change a lot because the rising costs of renovations at the Bernabeu have made Real less able to spend money.
Furthermore, the club is attempting to keep their pay bill low to maintain peace in the locker room. It is said that Mbappe would like to earn twice as much as the club’s present stars do.
