United is said to be making progress in talks to let Jadon Sancho go on loan to Borussia Dortmund.
The shooter hasn’t been able to play with the first team since he said Erik ten Hag lied about why he wasn’t on the team that went to Arsenal on September 3. Because he wouldn’t sаy sorry, he hasn’t played since August.
Donny van de Beek has already gone on loan to Frankfurt, and United could let more players go on loan. One of them is youth player Dan Gore, who played his first game with the first team in September.

The Ivorian has returned from ιnjury and made his comeback as a substitute towards the end of the weekend defeat at Nottingham Forest. It’s unclear what Erik ten Hag’s plans are for him as yet, but with him needing playing time and games to get back up to speed after a lengthy lay-off, perhaps the most likely option is for him to go out on loan once again.
And a report from HITC claims that Sunderland – where he spent time on loan last season – are “desperate” to secure his services once again.
‘Verbal agreement is done’ on Sancho deal
Another update from Germany on a potential loan move back to Borussia Dortmund for United’s Jadon Sancho.
Earlier in the blog you’ll have seen it was reported that Dortmund was ‘keen to finalize’ a loan deal for Sancho until the end of the season.
This evening, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg said that a ‘verbal agreement is done’ and the structure of the deal is what remаins to be finalized, including whether an option to buy clause is included.
He adds that a swift conclusion to the deal would allow Sancho to fly to Dortmund’s warm-weather training camp in Marbella to join the squad there.
The matches Onana could miss
So now we know when Andre Onana will leave the UK and head for the Africa Cup of Nations – on January 14 after the Spurs match. What we don’t yet know is when he’ll return from the tournament.
Cameroon’s final group match is on January 23, so if they fail to make it out of their group the goalkeeper could potentially return for the FA Cup 4th Round (if United are still in the competition) on the January 27-28 weekend.
But if Cameroon goes all the way to the final he will miss the cup match and any replays, and the Premier League matches vs Wolves on February 1, West Ham on February 4, and Aston Villa on February 11. He could then be back for the match against Luton on February 18.
