Sofia Vergara has already owned the opulent Tuscan villa-style estate in the guard-gated Beverly Park neighborhood for two full years. It therefore comes as little surprise that her old home, a little smaller Tuscan-style estate just down the hill, is now finally for sale with a $19.6 mιllιon asking price. The listing, which is held by Barry Peele of Sotheby’s International Realty, was first made public by TMZ.

The home is carefully concealed from view by walls, gates, and a truly huge hedge, even though it is situated pretty close to the road. Behind all of it is a motorcourt and front-facing garage with space for three cars each.

Vergara paid $10.6 mιllιon for the 0.6-acre property back in 2014. Since then, under the direction of L.A.-based designer Jennifer Bevan, the “Modern Family” actress and her “True Blood” actor husband Joe Manganiello have completely renovated the 2006-built building, transforming its 11,000 square feet of oppressively brown interiors into a chic contemporary blend of whites, blacks, and earthy tones.

Beyond the two-story foyer, a brand-new chef’s kitchen is outfitted with a plethora of high-end gadgets and a sizable central island. A gracefully curved staircase leads up to the home’s upper floor. There are also roomy living, family, and dining areas, each of which has French doors leading to the gardens, chandeliers, dark brown hardwood floors, and fireplaces.

There are seven bedrooms overall, but none of them are shown on the current advertisement. There are five “family” bedrooms and two staff rooms for live-in hired help. There are 11 restrooms, a theater, an office/library, and a gym on the property as well. There is a black-and-white wet bar on the bottom level of the underground area as well, which is sure to make everyone’s good times even better.

For celebrity-style privacy, the sloped backyard is surrounded by additional tall hedges and trees. There are also numerous flat areas of grassy lawn, a pool with an integrated spa, an outdoor eating area, and a built-in barbeque.

Manganiello and Vergara are still finishing off an enormous restoration of their Beverly Park home, which has more than 17,000 square feet of interior space and was formerly owned by retired MLB player Barry Bonds. Vergara was the highest-paid television actress in the world for eight years in a row.
