Conspicuous throughout the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament has been the high level of intensity that has surrounded each contest. This increased even further during the quarterfinal games, and Anthony Davis expects the same from Los Angeles Lakers supporters now that the tournament has relocated to Las Vegas.
The Lakers are the closest of the four teams in proximity to Las Vegas; however, as Davis noted, Lakers supporters will travel to support the team regardless of its location, so the purple and gold should feel like they are at home.
“Indeed, Laker supporters travel well regardless of where we go.” “We have the feeling that every place we visit is a home game for us,” Davis explained. “However, the tournament has been enjoyable. We certainly had no idea what to expect going into it, but things are proceeding quite well. The environment surrounding the games has been extremely competitive. The color schemes that have been present on the court have been undeniably impressive.
“However, everything has been fine. Four remain. “I am fairly certain that tomorrow night will be even crazier in terms of the ambiance, competition, and intensity.”
Although Davis acknowledged that being in Las Vegas during the midst of the season was a little strange, he enjoyed it nonetheless.
“Undoubtedly, yes. It is absurd. Typically, the preseason begins in October for us. However, who dislikes Las Vegas? “It’s peculiar, but I think that location is fantastic.”
At present, the discourse in Las Vegas pertains to the NBA’s decision regarding the relocation of an expansion franchise to the city; this is a matter of great importance to LeBron James, a fellow superstar with the Los Angeles Lakers. Additionally, the big man believes that doing so would benefit the entire league.
“I agree that it is an excellent location. Everybody arrives here. There are hockey, WNBA, and football teams present. We have hosted numerous Lakers preseason games here. In my opinion, that is an additional rationale for the tournament’s existence. Merely gaining an impression, observing the turnout, and similar factors.
“The possibility of a team relocating here has been the subject of discussion on multiple occasions, and I believe it would be to the NBA’s advantage if they did so.”
While an NBA franchise in Las Vegas appears definite in the future, Davis is currently preoccupied with defeating his former team, the New Orleans Pelicans, and advancing to the In-Season Tournament Finals.
Anthony Davis asserts that the Lakers are not increasing their burden with the In-Season Tournament.
While the Pelicans visit Las Vegas to face the Lakers, all eyes will be on Anthony Davis and the team, but he and the group continue to approach the match as any other. Although Davis acknowledges the increased scrutiny, he maintains that the Lakers are not attempting to place themselves under additional strеss.
“Not; I do not believe we are examining it in that manner. Even though it is a crucial game in the grand scheme of things, we are treating it as any other contest. While it is evident that your objective is to reach Las Vegas and secure the entire prize pool, we are not placing an excessive amount of pressure on ourselves. This form of game is not the be-all and end-all. However, winning is the apparent objective.
