Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have bid farewell to their Los Angeles mansion, selling it for $15.2M. The couple, known for their musical and acting careers, began dating in 2016 and got married in 2019. The property, located in Encino, was initially listed for $16.75M in June with Carl Gambino of Compass handling the sale.
According to property records, the power couple purchased the nearly one-acre estate for $14.1M in 2019, shortly after it was constructed. With the recent sale, they have made a profit of $1.1M, not considering other costs.
The transaction marked the highest-priced sale in the San Fernando Valley in 2021, as reported by the Los Angeles Times, and it was the second-most expensive sale in the area’s history. The record for the most expensive sale in the region is held by Joe’s younger brother, Nick Jonas, and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, who acquired a $20M home two years prior.
During their two years in the mansion, Joe and Turner transformed the place into their own by enlisting interior designer Jae Omar. The result was a contemporary yet inviting space, featuring aged woods, various stones, and abundant greenery to create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience.
Spanning two stories, the mansion boasted nine bedrooms and eleven bathrooms, as well as a gym, spa, state-of-the-art theater, two kitchens, and a wine cellar. The backyard, beautifully landscaped with turf, included a putting green, a pool, spa, multiple patios, and an outdoor projector for movie nights.
The couple also had a two-bedroom guest house on the property, which they used for entertaining. The guest house featured exciting amenities like an aquarium, a DJ station complete with a fog machine and disco lights, a cigar humidor, and a kegerator, perfect for hosting parties.
Joe and Turner got married twice in 2019 – first, in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony, and later with a lavish event in the South of France, surrounded by their loved ones.
Currently, Joe and his brothers are on their Jonas Brothers’ Remember This Tour, their eleventh headlining tour, which commenced in Las Vegas in August and is expected to conclude with a closing show at the Hollywood Bowl on October 27th.
